Third Lanark Athletic Club were founded in 1872 in Glasgow by the 3rd Lanarkshire Rifle Volunteers. Known as “The Hi Hi”, they became one of Scotland’s most respected early football clubs, winning the Scottish Cup in 1889 and the Scottish League title in 1904. Their home, Cathkin Park, was once one of the largest stadiums in the country and a focal point of Glasgow football culture. Despite a strong history, the club collapsed in 1967 after years of financial mismanagement, bringing an abrupt end to nearly a century of competition. Today, Third Lanark lives on through its enduring identity, loyal following, and the ruins of Cathkin Park — a powerful symbol of lost football heritage in the heart of Glasgow. This T-shirt celebrates that famous old ground!
