Zico at The Barras Market

We opened our store at the world famous Glasgow Barras Market in March 2023 and have gone from strength to strength at this wonderful and iconic location. Downstairs from the Barrowland Ballroom we are now located at Unit B56 Moncur Street, nestled amongst some great fellow traders in a busy and lively area of the market.

We are open at weekends only, from 10am until 4pm on Saturday and Sunday and for special event evening markets throughout the year. As we enter our second decade of trading it is an honour to be a part of this area’s rich history as The Barras is over 100 years old and counting. 

Interestingly when doing some family tree research recently I discovered my McCartney ancestors living in nearby Tobago Street at the turn of last Century and listed in the Census as being ‘Rag Sellers’ locally. Perhaps they too had found a home at the beginnings of the very market we work at today? 

So if you’re in Glasgow on holiday or for a visit or haven’t been back to the market for years then please pop by. It’s a great day out and there’s always something to catch your eye.
