Some friendships in Glasgow go back a long way, and one of ours is with the brilliant Peter Mullan.
Peter recently dropped into Zico at The Barras with his brother Lenny for a catch-up, and it was great to spend some time together. Between the laughs, the stories and reminiscing about old times, it reminded us why The Barras remains one of Glasgow’s great meeting places.

Peter is one of Scotland’s most respected actors and filmmakers, with an outstanding career spanning more than four decades. His performances in films including My Name Is Joe, Trainspotting, The Magdalene Sisters, War Horse, and television dramas such as Ozark and The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power have earned him international recognition. As a director, he has also won acclaim, including the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival for The Magdalene Sisters.

Despite his success around the world, Peter has never lost touch with his Glasgow roots, and it was a real pleasure to welcome him back to Zico’s in the heart of The Barras.

The visit even caught the attention of GlasgowWorld, who featured Peter’s stop at the shop, helping spread the word about another memorable day at Zico.
We’d like to thank both Peter and Lenny Mullan for taking the time to pop in. The support of old friends means a great deal, and our door is always open.

Zico Meets celebrates the actors, footballers, musicians and personalities who have visited our Barras shop over the years. From football legends to award-winning actors, every visit adds another chapter to the story of Zico Fashion Boutique.
