Celebrating 20 Years of Zico Fashion Boutique

Celebrating 20 Years of Zico Fashion Boutique

Twenty years ago, Zico opened its doors in Glasgow with a simple idea: combine a love of football, fashion, music and culture under one roof.

What started in a small shop in Ruthven Lane in 2006 quickly became something much bigger. From the West End to Queen Margaret Drive, from fashion shows and celebrity events to our current home at the world-famous Barras Market, Zico has spent two decades doing things its own way. (Glasgow West End)

Named after the legendary Brazilian footballer Zico, the business was built on the belief that style should have personality. Long before football culture became a mainstream fashion trend, we were bringing together retro sport, European streetwear, independent labels and unique designs that couldn’t be found on the high street. (Zico Fashion Boutique)

Over the years we have launched thousands of products, worked with suppliers across Europe, hosted fashion shows, pop-up events and live appearances, while building a loyal community of customers who have supported every chapter of our story. From students discovering us in the West End to visitors finding us today at The Barras, your support has made everything possible. (Zico Fashion Boutique)

The last twenty years have brought plenty of changes to retail, but our ethos remains the same: independent, creative and proudly different. Whether it’s football-inspired clothing, Scottish culture, music, film or live events, Zico continues to celebrate the things we love most. (Zico Fashion Boutique)

As we celebrate this milestone, we’d like to thank every customer, supplier, collaborator and friend who has been part of the journey. You’ve helped turn a small Glasgow boutique into a recognised independent brand with customers across Scotland and beyond.

Twenty years down. The next chapter starts now.

Thank you for being part of the story.
