We celebrated 30 years of Trainspotting in the only way fitting—with grit, soul, and Irvine Welsh himself taking over BAaD. From a deep dive into his 40-year legacy with Paul John Dykes to a headline DJ set that brought the house down, it was a night for the history books.

In a final piece of Trainspotting trivial, our very own Zico was in the thick of it for one of the most legendary moments in cinema history.
In the iconic 1996 film Trainspotting, Simon played one of the fighting men during the infamous Begbie glassing scene. You can spot him in the midst of the chaos wearing the white shirt as the bar erupts!
A Full Circle Moment
Thirty years later, that same raw energy was felt at our recent event, Zico Presents: Irvine Welsh at The Barras. Bringing together the creator of these legendary characters with the people who lived the era (and even appeared in the films!) made for an unforgettable night at BAaD.
It wasn't just a celebration of a movie; it was a celebration of the uncompromising creative spirit that Simon and the whole Zico team continue to champion today.
